The Lipno Lake has a great amount of fish, which are only waiting to get caught! To name only some of them: Carp, perch, pike, whitefish, trout, eels, catfish...

For people who love riding, there is a great riding club in Vyssi Brod owned by Mr Wajtr. Whether beginner or advanced - there are tours for all kinds.

As a skiing area Austria (Hochficht) and the Czech Republic (Lipno) are available. Both of them are equally easy to reach, but the skiing area Hochficht will be connected to Nova Pec (located only 10 minutes away) soon. These skiing resorts are particularly suitable for families and children. Especially because of their cheap prices compared to other skiing resorts.

Highly recommended are biking tours around the Lipno Lake! Nearby of the Seepark Residence (300m) is a bicycle path which leads all around the entire lake.

Cerna v Posumavi is a famous surfer meeting point in South Bohemia. The wind is ideal, and not just for surfers, but also for enthusiastic kiter.

The undulating landscape at the lake is perfect for a cozy walk around the lake. On your way you can find delicious fungi and prepare a fantastic Bohemian dinner!

Horni Plana (Oberplan, 3km)

In Horni Plana you will find the birth house of Adalbert Stifter, a famous Austrian writer, shopping opportunities for the daily needs, a doctor, a gothic church with organ concerts, a landing stage for the Rosenberger Lipno Line, common hotels and restraints and a well-tended beach.

Cerna (11km)

Cerna offers a marina with sailing boats and a crane. Cerna is also known in South Bohemia as a meeting point for surfers because it offers a steady west-wind. There is also a nice beach and a water slide, small shops, a church, common restaurants and hotels. Furthermore there are well-tended camping grounds directly at the lake, for example beside the "Hotel Bohemia", fishing cards, a rental for paddleboats and surfboards.

Frymburk (19km)

Bowling, an indoor swimming pool and a spa with sauna and massage can be found in the "Hotel Frymburk". There are also tennis courts and great restaurants. In the town there is a gothic church, a supermarket, a landing stage for the Rosenberger Lipno Line, restaurants with good quality, for example the Maxant on the main square, with confectionery and a bar. A smaller ski lift for beginners and kids, a post office and shops for the daily needs, a travel agency and fishing cards.

Lipno (28km)

18 holes golf course, summer toboggan run, bowling, indoor swimming pool, chair lift on the Kramolin followed by a T-bar lift, squash and indoor tennis courts, sailing school, landing stage of the main marina of the Rosenberger Lipno Line, a marina for over 120 boats, many restaurants and coffee shops, hotels and an info-centre. Fire department and a police department. Visitation of the underground turbine constructions in the power plant beneath the dam. A Supermarket, post office, fishing cards, a sailing boat and a paddleboat rental.

Budweis

Just 50 km away you will find Ceské Budejovice, the largest City in South Bohemia. It offers many shopping opportunities and you can enjoy your coffee and Czech desserts on an 1 hectare big beautiful main square

Prag

Prag, the capital city of the Czech Republic is perfect for a day trip. It can be reached quickly over 195 km long well constructed streets. The historical centre of Prag was added to the Unesco World Heritage List and is definitely worth a visit.

Krumau

Ceský Krumlov is one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic and definitely worth a visit. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. There you can visit an historic castle or a typical Czech brewery.
